Name:Pamela D. Lloyd
Location:Tucson, Arizona, United States
Website:Searching for Roots and Branches
Pamela D. Lloyd was born in Chicago, where her parents turned down an offer to sell her for two suitcases full of socks. When she was two months old, her family moved to Florida, where they once more turned down an offer for her, this time for a house. However, by the time the family moved to El Paso, Texas, when she was three years old, her true nature as a force of chaos was apparent, so no new offers were forthcoming.

Pamela's interests include folklore and fairy tales, which often inspire her writing, as well as fantasy, science fiction, and speculative fiction; quilting; cosplay and costuming, an interest hindered by a messy house with no place to sew (she's working on that); photography, mostly associated with food, pets, or walks in nature; genealogy, see her frequently neglected genealogy blog at http://search4rootsandbranches.blogspot.com/; and an eclectic mix that can be hard to pin down at any given moment.

Pamela has traveled briefly in Mexico, spent five months in England and Scotland (with a weekend trip to Wales), and spent three weeks in Spain, where she contracted typhoid fever. She hopes to travel extensively in the future. She adores castles and has visited several, including Eilean Donan castle and the Alhambra.

Pamela currently lives in Tucson, Arizona with her husband, two of her five children and step-children, several dogs, and several cats. The best place to get frequent updates about her life is currently Instagram, where she is Pemaladesi.

Pamela's publications include:

* "Ship's Daughter" with Karl Grotegut, Space Pirates, ed. David Lee Summers, Flying Pen Press, August 2008

* "In a Tower High," Realms of Fantasy Magazine, April 2004
