Wales Photos, 1983

Okay, here are a few more photos (also under the cut), this time from our trip to Wales. These are all essentially landscapes (no people).

We'd just come over the top of the mountains into Wales and suddenly the landscape was very different from that in England. In the foreground, you can see the craggy rocks and the scraggly ground cover, with a more pastoral countryside in the background. I'm not sure now if this was facing West, into Wales, or East, into England. The latter, I suspect.
BTW -- anyone who knows what that ground cover is, please let me know. Thx!

There were at least two or three of them around us, but the only photo I've got with more than one in the image was missing one of the ponies' heads, so I cropped the entire phony out.

We were very taken by the Welsh ponies.

I'm pretty sure this was taken in Wales, based on the placement in my photo album and what I remember of the trip, but the photo wasn't annotated, so this could have been taken elsewhere on the journey. (If so, it was probably in Scotland.) I wish I could remember the name of the village we spent the night in. Our B&B was much more picturesque than the buildings in the background, here, but I don't seem to have a photo of it.

If you look closely, there's what appears to be a bench for sitting, out on that rocky bit before the ocean starts in earnest. I wonder if the ocean spray would splash over the bench.
