Can you get fresh Poblano peppers up there? We're so used to having fresh produce year-round, but I know that what's considered a staple here (at least in the markets that cater to Southwestern appetites) may not be universally available.

As it happens, poblanos are one of the specialty peppers that the supermarkets do carry, so we're okay there :-)
