I have discovered the joys of pineapple-basil limeade. To homemade limeade add pineapple and fresh basil to taste. Blend. You can either add ice cubes to the blender, or pour over ice. Yum!
Anything with basil in it seems good to me! I noted (but failed to copy down) a recipe for a blackberry dessert with basil, from the new Kingsolver book, that seemed like it would be yummy.
What's that book called. Something like "A year of food" or something...here it is: Animal, Vegetable, Miracle: A Year of Food Life. It was a teeny tiny too preachy for my tastes (even though I agree with what she's saying), but the recipes looked cool.
